The QT128 with its newly obtained ISO 26262 ASIL B – Performance Level D Functional Safety Standard and its high-resolution object detection capabilities make it the ideal LiDAR for AGVs, AMRs, and autonomous forklifts, reducing risks associated with operating autonomous vehicles in dynamic environments and enhancing the safety of people and equipment. Its high accuracy and ultra-wide 105 degree vertical FoV enable robots to detect and track obstacles in real-time, providing critical information to the navigation system in order to avoid collisions with unexpected obstacles, including other vehicles and people. The wide coverage area of the QT128 can eliminate the need for multiple ancillary sensors such as cameras, ultrasonics, or 2D single channel laser scanner, which reduces the cost of development and the overall cost of ownership. The sensor’s safety mechanisms enable alerts to be sent to the navigation system, allowing for quick mitigation measures and safe exits from autonomous/assisted driving states.
For applications not requiring functional safety, the XT32 provides a high performance, cost effective solution for mapping, collision avoidance, and other applications.
