The RoboSense E1R is a fully solid-state digital LiDAR designed for robotics, humanoids and autonomous systems. Its 120° by 90° field of view generates precise point cloud data for real-time 3D perception, supporting SLAM, navigation and obstacle detection. Built on RoboSense’s automotive-grade E platform, it combines compact integration with reliable robotic perception. Maximum detection range is 75 m, with 30 m at 10% reflectivity — over seven times the reach of a conventional depth camera, which gives a robot a few metres of usable range and fails in strong light. The E1R delivers up to 260,000 points per second in 144-beam neatly structured point clouds at 0.625° angular resolution, a regular and predictable distribution that registration, segmentation and tracking algorithms are built to consume. The window is small, flat and flush with no protrusions, published at 7 × 35 × 75 mm, so it drops into a robot’s own surface rather than sitting proud of it — the property that makes the sensor viable on cleaning robots, delivery robots and service platforms that brush past obstacles. A 1/4-inch threaded mount allows rapid prototyping with standard camera accessories. The E1R carries RoboSense’s self-developed, world-first digital SPAD-SoC with over 250,000 pixels, 2.5 times the industry benchmark, together with a 2D addressable VCSEL array that suppresses point cloud blooming on highly reflective objects and extends detection range. The fully chip-based solid-state design eliminates all moving parts. It has passed over 60 reliability tests, operates from −40 °C to +85 °C, endures vibration shocks up to 50 G and meets both IP67 and IP6K9K. Applications include autonomous delivery robots, cleaning robots, robotaxi platforms, service robots, humanoid robots and drones.

The RoboSense EMX is a compact automotive-grade digital LiDAR built for autonomous driving. With 192 physical beams — real, not interpolated — 2.88 million points per second, a 140° by 20° field of view and a 300 m detection range, it generates precise point cloud data for reliable long-range 3D perception and object detection. 192-beam scanning at 0.08° × 0.10° global angular resolution captures fine environmental detail throughout the detection range, so the planner receives classified objects earlier and with more confidence. The EMX scans at up to 20 Hz, twice the mainstream industry rate of 10 Hz, which halves the response latency of the perception stage. Its intelligent Gaze function concentrates scanning effort on a region of interest, improving horizontal angular resolution by up to six times within it while keeping wide coverage for situational awareness. Manufacturer test results include a black car detected at 200 m, traffic cones identified at 200 m, a 30 × 17 cm high-speed projectile carton at 120 m and a stray black tire at 80 m. Exclusive core technology addresses three classic failure modes: high anti-expansion suppression prevents highly reflective targets from blooming, rain fog and dust noise reduction separates airborne particle returns from genuine attenuated returns, and contamination and watermark occlusion resistance sustains performance through road spray, dirt and drying water marks. The EMX integrates digital SPAD-SoC and VCSEL chips, preserving raw information through the signal chain so the LiDAR stream can be synchronised temporally and spatially with raw camera data for genuine perception fusion. At 120 × 80 × 30 mm it is the smallest digital automotive main LiDAR available, and it is rated IP6K9K for pressure-jet water resistance. Applications include main forward ADAS sensing, passenger vehicle autonomy, commercial vehicle ADAS, robotics and AMR platforms, smart infrastructure and ITS, intersection management, highway traffic detection and heavy equipment autonomy.

The RoboSense Fairy is a high-precision digital LiDAR built for robotics, humanoids and other autonomous systems that require accurate mid-range perception. With 0.5 cm range precision at 1σ, up to 96 beams and 1.37 million points per second, it generates dense, structured point cloud data for 3D mapping, navigation and obstacle avoidance across a 360° by 32° field of view reaching 150 metres. Precision at this level changes what survives the noise filter: a wall reads as a plane, a road surface as a plane, a kerb as a genuine step rather than a ripple, so low, thin and flat features that a coarser sensor discards as noise stay in the map. The 0.5 cm figure is measured at 30 °C, over a 0.5 to 70 m range, against a 50% reflectivity target, averaged across channels 25 to 72. Fairy comes in 96-beam and 48-beam versions at 1.37 million and 685,000 points per second respectively, roughly 170% denser than a typical 32-beam mid-to-long-range LiDAR, with an angular resolution of 0.25° × 0.33°. At 75 mm diameter by 70 mm high and under 350 g it is the industry’s lightest mid-to-long-range digital LiDAR, fitting payload budgets on handheld mapping devices, drones and mobile robots that a conventional survey LiDAR cannot. A next-generation VCSEL emitter and a high photon-detection-efficiency SPAD-SoC give a fully digital signal path, an IMU is integrated, and active illumination holds performance at night, in strong light, rain and fog. Applications include drones and survey, courtyard robots, autonomous forklifts, cleaning robots, delivery robots, autonomous mining trucks, handheld mapping and smart ports.

The RoboSense EM4 is a long-range digital LiDAR built for autonomous driving. With 2160 beams, a 600 m maximum detection range and 41.04 million points per second across a 120° by 27° field of view, it generates dense, high-definition point cloud data for precise 3D perception at L3 and above levels of autonomy. Ranging reaches 300 m at 10% reflectivity. Against a LiDAR limited to 200 m, the EM4 extends the vehicle’s response window by up to 70%, giving the planner room for a smooth, confident manoeuvre rather than a last-moment emergency intervention. At 2160 × 1900 resolution it produces what RoboSense calls 2K high-definition perception, dense enough to classify distant objects rather than merely register their presence: a 40 × 25 cm black cardboard box at 250 m, a black tire at 170 m, traffic cones at 300 m and a white car at 600 m, with performance that exceeds NHTSA active safety standards. Three exclusive technologies address the failure modes that end most LiDAR deployments. Patented spatiotemporal mixed encoding suppresses blooming from retroreflective signs, licence plates and wet road markings. A 1080-core LEP system with a proprietary Large Echo Processing Model and Huiyan AI filter separates rain, fog and dust noise from genuine attenuated returns. A proprietary optical design maintains ranging accuracy through road spray, mud, dust and condensation. The fully digital architecture uses SPAD-SoC receivers and VCSEL emitters, digitally encoding each unit’s emissions so crosstalk between LiDARs is eliminated. Real-time lossless compression cuts a gigabit-class data stream by 60% to a few hundred megabits, fitting existing in-vehicle Ethernet without sacrificing points. Applications include L3 and above autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems, intelligent passenger vehicles, highway pilot, commercial vehicle autonomy, smart infrastructure and ITS, highway traffic detection and robotaxi platforms.

The RoboSense Airy is the industry’s first compact hemispherical digital LiDAR, designed for robotics, humanoids and autonomous systems. A 360° horizontal by 90° vertical field of view generates dense, high-precision point cloud data for real-time 3D perception, supporting reliable SLAM, navigation and obstacle avoidance from a single mounting point across a 60 metre radius. Airy reaches a breakthrough 192 beams, switchable to 96, delivering up to 1.72 million points per second at 1 cm range precision at 1σ, with 30 m detection at 10% reflectivity. It uses a repetitive scanning pattern that produces evenly arranged point clouds frame after frame, which is far easier for perception software to register, segment and track than a drifting non-repetitive pattern. The body measures just 60 mm in diameter by 63 mm high and weighs under 240 g, taking almost no volume out of a robot’s design envelope, and draws below 8 W in continuous operation so battery runtime survives it. An IMU is integrated, removing a separate inertial module. Next-generation VCSEL emitter chips and high-sensitivity SPAD-SoC receivers give a fully digital transmission and reception path with no echo data loss. Active illumination works independently of ambient light for continuous operation around the clock. Applications include courtyard robots, quadruped robots, AGV and AMR fleets, unmanned forklifts, service robots, smart ports and humanoid robots.

The RoboSense E1 is an automotive-grade, fully solid-state flash LiDAR designed to eliminate near-field blind spots. Its 120° horizontal by 90° vertical field of view generates precise point cloud data around the vehicle, supporting safer autonomous perception and navigation. With no moving parts and a compact digital architecture, the same sensing approach also supports close-range perception needs across robotics and humanoid applications. The 90° vertical field of view is the defining specification: a ground blind area of 15 cm or less at the bottom of the span, and 8.5° of upward capability at the top for panoramic side perception. Low obstacles, kerbs and small children stay inside the cone, as does the torso of an adult standing alongside. Mounted at a vehicle’s corners or flanks, a set of E1 units tiles into continuous coverage that eliminates blind areas. Detection reaches 30 m at 10% reflectivity, with 20 m quoted on the left side in the unprotected left turn scenario. The frame rate runs from 10 to 30 Hz, with 25 Hz or better achievable where near-field events demand it. Sensing is built on a 0.27 MP direct time-of-flight SPAD array with a 9.8 µm pixel pitch, on chips RoboSense designs itself. The unit is automotive-grade and rated IP67, and its flat package suits bumper, sill and corner mounting. Applications include vehicle blind spot detection, near-field collision avoidance, unprotected turn assistance, pedestrian and cyclist protection, automated parking, low-speed autonomy, AMR and AGV platforms, and industrial automation safety zones.

The VMS Conveyor Measurement System continuously scans the profile of bulk material moving on a conveyor belt and converts the captured profile and surface data into volume information. Using a dedicated LiDAR and conveyor speed sensor connection, the system synchronizes surface profile captures with belt movement to provide reliable, contactless monitoring without interrupting production. Before trying to retrofit your conveyor system using load cell based measurement systems, we suggest taking a look at this revolutionary technology, non-contact, drift-free and installs easily without having to modify the idlers on your conveyor system. It not only yields the material quantity, it also provides colorized images of the material on the belt for quality control and particle size distribution analysis. The system requires only three field connections: one cable to the conveyor speed sensor, one cable to the LiDAR scanner and one cable to power the system. This simplified architecture makes installation, integration and maintenance easier across new and existing conveyor systems. Key Application Use Cases Conveyor Flow Monitoring: Continuously monitor bulk material traveling along conveyor lines and identify variations in material flow in real time. Volume Measurement: Calculate the volume of material moving on the conveyor using continuous LiDAR surface scanning. Production Monitoring: Track material movement throughout production processes without stopping or physically contacting the conveyor. Stockpile and Inventory Tracking: Use conveyor measurement data to improve material input, output and inventory calculations. Loading and Unloading Operations: Monitor material quantities during loading, unloading and transfer operations across industrial facilities. ERP and Reporting Integration: Send measurement data to operational platforms, reporting tools and enterprise systems for centralized monitoring. From Conveyor Scan to Volume Data VMS Conveyor transforms continuous LiDAR scans and conveyor movement information into actionable material data. The system combines the visible material profile with belt movement to calculate the volume passing through the measurement area. Scan the Material Surface The LiDAR + camera module captures the shape or profile, height and particle size distribution of material moving on the conveyor belt. Measure Conveyor Speed A dedicated conveyor speed sensor provides the movement information required to synchronize each LiDAR scan with the travelling conveyor belt. Reconstruct the Material Profile The system combines successive scans to generate a continuous three dimensional representation of the material flow. Calculate Material Volume Material profiles are processed together with conveyor movement data to calculate the volume travelling through the monitored section. Why VMS Conveyor VMS Conveyor provides continuous material visibility without requiring physical contact with the transported material or interruptions to conveyor operations. Contactless Measurement Measures material from above without scales, probes or components touching the bulk material. Material Images Provides detailed images of the materials on the conveyor belt for quality control and particle size distribution analysis. Continuous Data Collection Captures material flow throughout conveyor operation instead of relying on occasional manual measurements. Synchronized Measurement Combines LiDAR surface data with conveyor movement information for consistent volume calculation. Simple Installation Uses one connection for the LiDAR and one connection for the conveyor sensor, reducing field cabling and installation complexity.
